It’s always good to use a professional mechanic to check your ATV before and after it's storage cycle. Here are some of the checklists the Action Power Sports team will perform for you, whatever your make and model:
Change the oil and filter. Old oil eats at your engine if the atv is in long-term storage.
Clean and lubricate all moving parts. Make sure all dirt is cleaned from these areas before adding oil.
Check for loose hardware
Inspect the fuel line, throttle, spark plug, carburetor at idle, chain drive, brakes, nuts & bolts
Check the air filter and clean it if necessary, brake levers, throttle lever, etc.
Check the lights, switches, tires, steering and suspension systems
Remove the battery and fully charge it or replace if necessary.

Install a carburetor heater.
Switch to a synthetic oil, which is unaffected by temperature and provides instant lubrication on start-up.
Make sure the battery is in good condition and the terminal connections are clean and tight.
Keep the fuel tank full to prevent moisture from condensing and causing passages to become ice-clogged.
Prevent road salt corrosion: spray down the suspension and brakes with a silicone before trailering.
Rinse the ATV after each trip and let it dry in a warm garage.
